A Bahraini man was arrested for defaming the Education Ministry by posting toxic videos on social media.
The Cassation Court upheld a suspended jail term for the defendant, who claimed his comments fell within his rights to freedom of expression.
The court rejected this argument, stating that offensive language exceeded freedom of expression.
The defendant was given a two-month jail term suspended for three years, with the condition of refraining from similar offences.
