Works Ministry opens tenders for school maintenance projects

The Ministry of Works has launched multiple tenders for maintenance works at various schools around the Kingdom.
The schools included in the project are Zubaidah Primary Girls School and Al Muharraq Primary Girls School, Sommaya Primary Girls School and Sanabis Intermediate Girls School, Khawla Secondary Girls School, and Sitra Primary Girls School and Ibn Al Nafees Primary Boys School.
For the maintenance works at Zubaidah and Al Muharraq Primary Girls School, interested parties must submit their bids along with a BD4,000 bond valid for 180 days by August 17, 2023.
The scope of work encompasses civil and structural maintenance, as well as other related tasks. Bidders for the works at Sommaya Primary Girls School and Sanabis Intermediate Girls School should submit their bids, accompanied by a BD4,000 bond valid for 180 days, before August 30, 2023.
Similarly, works at Khawla Secondary Girls School require a BD4,000 bond valid for 180 days, and the deadline for bid submissions is August 23, 2023.
For the maintenance works at Sitra Primary Girls School and Ibn Al Nafees Primary Boys School, a BD4,000 bond valid for 180 days is also necessary.
The closing date for bids is August 9, 2023. The initial bond should be provided in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy, or Cash, as specified in the Tender Documents, and it should remain valid for the specified duration. Furthermore, micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs) have the opportunity to obtain a 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage by submitting their “SMEs Classification Certificate” during the bidding process for these tenders.
