Indian community hailed for enriching social and trade dynamics in Bahrain

Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Board of Trustees Chairman of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, commended the role of the Indian community in contributing to enriching the social and trade dynamics in Bahrain.

He said that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain has continued to be a melting pot of cultures, by committing to the values of peaceful coexistence, social harmony and tolerance that it has always been known for over the centuries.

During a meeting with Mukesh Kavalani, president of Thattai Hindu Merchants Community (THMC), and a number of its members, the chairman said that the welcoming nature of the people of Bahrain and their openness to other cultures emanates from deep-rooted awareness in the society.

The THMC head and members highlighted social and economic projects of the community during the meeting, and expressed their gratitude for the humanitarian efforts in spreading tolerance and acceptance values led by Bahrain, under the leadership of HM the King with the follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the contribution of the people of Bahrain. They also expressed their thanks and gratitude for the support received by the Indian community in Bahrain.
