The inaugural edition of Bahrain’s almond festival is set to open this Saturday at the Farmers’ Market site in the Budaiya Botanical Garden. The festival, which will run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., promises to be a delightful experience for visitors.
Mohammed Al Oraibi, Assistant Undersecretary for Agricultural Affairs at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, announced that all necessary arrangements have been made for the launch of the 2023 edition of the festival.
The ministry has collaborated with the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) and the Bahrain Agricultural Cooperative Society to organise this event, with plans to make it an annual affair.
The two-week festival will feature the participation of 15 farmers, 3 projects and productive families, and 4 restaurants offering a variety of almond-based products.
As an added bonus, the ministry will distribute 1,000 almond seedlings during the festival, providing an opportunity for visitors to take a piece of this almond celebration home with them.
