A top Bahraini court is all set to host the trial of the suspect nabbed by police in connection with the shocking murder of a girl in Sanad.

The Chief Prosecutor of the Capital Governorate confirmed that the trial is scheduled to commence on July 13 at the Fourth High Criminal Court. The Public Prosecution has charged the man with two counts of premeditated murder and violating the sanctity of the victim’s body, underscoring the severity of the alleged crime.

The Daily Tribune previously reported the distressing discovery of the girl’s decomposed remains in a secluded location in Sanad on June 5, which sent shockwaves through the local community.

Given the condition of the body, which hindered visual identification, law enforcement relied on DNA tests and various technical and forensic analyses to establish conclusive findings.

The Public Prosecution also dispatched forensic and crime scene experts to the crime scene, whose efforts led to the unearthing of crucial evidence that facilitated the identification of the suspect, turning the case around.

Armed with crucial evidence, law enforcement officials acted swiftly to identify and nab the suspect. Officials confirmed that the case against the accused was significantly bolstered by circumstantial evidence and testimonies provided by witnesses and the victim’s family members.

Law enforcement authorities revealed that the suspect promptly confessed to the murder and assisted them in locating the secluded area in Sanad where the victim’s body was discovered. Public prosecutors accompanied the suspect to the crime scene, conducting a comprehensive examination that included a photographic analysis of the modus operandi.
