A popular summer activity for most people in Bahrain is to check out and spend a day at some of the country’s most beautiful beaches. But many of the private beaches tend to be costly.

Luckily, there are several other affordable yet stunning beaches suitable for everyone! Tourists and residents relish the privilege of having so many beach locations to pick from, and because there are so many, it can be hard to choose which one fits best for your tastes.

Water Garden City Beach is a great option for a fantastic family day out, as they offer entertaining water sports and kid’s activities such as inflatable water games! Another advantage is the affordable price.

It can be quite costly for a family day out, but on weekdays, adults can enter for BD3 and children for BD2!

On the weekends, adults can enter for BD5 and children can enter for BD3. However, another upside is that children under the age of 3 can enter for free every day of the week.

The timings for Saturday-Wednesday are 9 am to 8 pm, and Thursday-Saturday are 9 am to 10 pm.

Another affordable option, combined with stunning views and glistening water, is Reef Island.

The relaxed-style beach offers beautiful views of Seef while also giving you a relaxed tropical vacation vibe! But if you are interested in activities during the day, Reef Island also offers water sports like kayaking, guaranteed to keep the children occupied.

You can enter Reef Island on weekdays for only BD5 and on weekends for BD7. The time is from 10 am to sunset. If you are thinking about having a ladies day out, Reef Island offers a ladies day on Mondays and Tuesdays, where ladies can enter for free!

The Kingdom also offers great public beaches for free for those who have a tighter budget but still want a fun beach day out with friends or family.

Malkiya Beach is a popular choice for many on the island, with residents and tourists able to enjoy jet skiing and boat rides!

This is a great option for a family day out, with food stalls and play areas located at the beach.

For those who have a wider budget and have the desire for a luxury day out, the Ritz-Carlton, situated in the heart of Bahrain’s Seef district, offers a range of activities and a picturesque beach that will be sure to keep you entertained.

The glistening white sand beach and sparkling clear water make you feel as if you are in a tropical destination. The Ritz not only offers a day pass for the beach, but it also includes an indoor pool and an outdoor pool that you can use as well, along with the indoor spa. The day pass costs BD30 on weekdays and BD50 on weekends. The timings are 8am-8pm.
