Bahrain’s hospitality boosts tourism sector

Media Affairs Advisor to His Majesty the King Nabil bin Yaqub Al Hamar visited the Vatel Hospitality and Tourism Business School in Al Jasra, and discussed the rich history of hospitality in Bahrain and its significant role in nurturing competencies across Gulf countries.
The visit took place in the presence Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Bahrain Tourism, Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Nasser Qaedi, and Shaikh Khalid Khalifa Al Khalifa, Vatel Bahrain Director General.
Touring the establishment, Vatel’s curricula, programmes, and accomplishments in terms of education and scientific research were highlighted. Al Hamar engaged with the foundation year students at the school, actively listening to their experiences and opinions regarding the educational programs provided by the college.
He emphasised that Kingdom’s legacy of hospitality dates back numerous centuries, noting that the values of hospitality and generosity are deeply cherished national customs and traditions among all Bahrainis.
HM the King’s Advisor added that this cultural aspect serves as a crucial factor in attracting tourists to the Kingdom, and enhancing the hospitality and tourism sector. He encouraged students to capitalis on their academic journey at the college and strive for exceptional outcomes in their studies.
Al Hamar offered valuable advice and guidance on how to succeed in their future careers, emphasising the significance of hard work, diligence, and acquiring the necessary skills to excel in their respective fields of study.
He commended the role played by Vatel Hospitality and Tourism Business School in training and preparing national professionals in accordance with the highest international standards upheld within the hospitality and tourism sector.
Media promotes tourism
Al Sairafi commended the pivotal role played by the national media in promoting the achievements of the tourism sector, including the dedicated professionals working within the industry.
She highlighted the contribution of Vatel Bahrain to honing students’ skills and expertise, effectively integrating them into Bahrain’s hospitality and tourism sector.
