UN efforts for global peace lauded in meet
Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for International Affairs Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa praised the great efforts and constructive initiatives of the United Nations (UN) in promoting global peace and security and reinforcing sustainable development in all countries. In a meeting with United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information Cristina Gallach in his office yesterday, Dr Shaikh Abdulla commended the role played by Cristina Gallach in improving the UN media agencies’ performance.
He also cited Gallach’s contribution in raising public awareness of various issues and the need for radical solutions to challenges facing the international community to meet peoples’ aspirations for sustainabledevelopment.
Dr Shaikh Abdulla also reviewed with her deep- rooted relations of cooperation between Bahrain and the UN, mainly in communication and informationareas.
