For AMAIUB grads, journey towards excellence begins

University Bahrain (AMAIUB) honoured 681 graduates under the patronage of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa during the 11th graduation ceremony held yesterday at Gulf Convention Centre in Juffair.

Ambassador Amable R. Aguiluz V, President of AMAIUB and Chairman Emeritus of AMA Education System, and Philippine President’s Special Envoy to the Kingdom of Bahrain, conferred the certificates on the candidates in the presence of Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education, who represented  HRH the Premier, at the event.

Enthused by Prince Khalifa’s continuous support and the presence of the esteemed officials of the Kingdom, Ambassador Aguiluz expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all the members of the Class of 2015 and their families and friends. In his message, he emphasised AMAIUB’s high educational standards.

Ambassador Aguiluz also underscored the notable accomplishments of the university. “My dear members of Batch 2015, the achievements of your university are also your achievements. AMAIUB has been conceived to uphold excellence in the international milieu.”

“This journey towards excellence began with the humble vision of providing quality education to the youth of today, who are groomed to be the think tanks of tomorrow. Yes, you are the future workforce of your country and the world is opening its arms to welcome you to be globally competitive,” he commented.

HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Education Ministry’s Undersecretary for Education Affairs and Curricula Dr. Abdulla Al Mottawa were also present.

Certificates were conferred on the 681 graduates on the following degrees: Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics, Bachelor of Science in International Studies, Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering, Bachelor Science of Informatics Engineering and Doctor of Medicine.

In his speech, Honour Graduate Dr. Ismaeel Mohammed Sayed Ahmed Rawan Bakhish said: “As a medical graduate, I have to insist, that the path to success was as tough as many of you have pictured. The sleepless nights were long, and the work was endless.”

“Fellow graduates, our journey has just begun. This is life’s reality. The end of one day is the beginning of another. The end of one task is the beginning of a new one. 

This journey, however, is dependent even more on our ability to apply what we have learned and experienced at AMA International University Bahrain,” he added.

Noora Jaber Ahmed Muhanna was also an Honour Graduate, who received the “Excellence in Leadership” award.
