French National Day celebrated with focus on Paris 2024 Olympic Games

The French Embassy in Bahrain hosted a vibrant celebration yesterday to commemorate French National Day.

The event, held under the theme "The Paris 2024 Olympic Games" and organised by Jerome Cauchard, the Ambassador of France to the Kingdom of Bahrain, welcomed guests including Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayanid, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with other high-ranking officials and diplomats.

The festive occasion symbolised France's strong commitment to sports, culture, and the enduring Franco-Bahraini friendship. French National Day pays homage to the historic storming of the Bastille in 1789, a pivotal moment during the French Revolution that sparked the pursuit of freedom, equality, and fraternity.

The enchanting evening, held at the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa, captivated attendees with splendid performances showcasing the richness of French history, culture, and the indomitable spirit of the Olympic Games.

Expressing his delight, Ambassador Jerome Cauchard highlighted the significance of celebrating French National Day in the Kingdom of Bahrain as an exceptional opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
