Shaikha Mai granted Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star

The Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Miyamoto Masayuki, conferred the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star to H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Shaikh Ebrahim Center for Culture and Research.

It was a recognition for her invaluable contribution to introducing Japanese culture to Bahrain and promoting friendly relations between Japan and Bahrain. The conferment ceremony, held at the Japanese Ambassador’s residence, was attended by senior officials, dignitaries, and distinguished guests.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Miyamoto praised Her Excellency Shaikha Mai’s exceptional contributions, emphasising the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening international relations.

Shaikha Mai expressed her thanks and appreciations to the Japanese government and the Embassy of Japan in Bahrain, represented by His Excellency Ambassador Miyamoto, for conferring on her the Imperial Order for spring 2023 "Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star".

Her Excellency praised the cultural relations between the two countries, expressing her pride in extending the bridges of cultural cooperation that contribute to strengthening human relations.
