Bahrain boosts regional relations, cooperation

Delegated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor, headed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation to the 18th Consultative Meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the GCC-Central Asia Summit held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia yesterday.
The GCC meeting was chaired by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who welcomed HH Shaikh Nasser upon his arrival at the King Abdullah International Conference Centre.
The Summit was also chaired by HRH Prince Mohammed with the participation of the heads of the delegations of GCC and Central Asian countries. On behalf of HM the King, HH Shaikh Nasser attended the dinner banquet, which was hosted by HRH Prince Mohammed in honour of the heads of delegations taking part in the two events.
HH Shaikh Nasser bade farewell to HRH the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as GCC leaders and Asian presidents. He extended his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his invitation to HM King Hamad to the consultative meeting and summit.
HH commended the vital role of Saudi Arabia in enhancing cooperation among GCC states and other countries. He expressed appreciation to Saudi Arabia, its leadership, and its government for hosting these constructive meetings, reflecting the Kingdom’s leadership’s approach to promoting communication and integration among GCC states, strengthening ambitious partnerships, and perpetuating deep historical values, mutual interests, and constructive cooperation on bilateral and multilateral levels in multiple disciplines.
HH Shaikh Nasser wished success to Saudi’s efforts, expressing his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for hosting these two important summits, as well as the sincere efforts Saudi Arabia has made to ensure a better future for different people from all around the world.
The convoy of honor was led by His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Bahrain.
