Ministry of Works invites tenders for school maintenance projects

The Ministry of Works has opened multiple tenders for conducting essential maintenance works in schools across the Kingdom. To be eligible for these tenders, contractors must hold a building maintenance Grade AA rating and possess a valid pre-qualification license registered with the Ministry of Works.

The scope of work includes internal and external maintenance, as well as mechanical and related tasks. One of the projects pertains to Religious Institute Primary and Al Salam Primary Girls School.

Works include civil and structural maintenance works. It encompasses activities such as internal and external painting, repairing cracks, ceilings, and floorings, along with the replacement of doors and windows and toilet renovations.

Additionally, the successful bidder will be responsible for performing mechanical works, including water network upgrades, water tank replacements, electrical works, and all associated tasks.

Interested parties must submit their bids before the 13th of August 2023, along with a BD4,000 bond, valid for 180 days, to be considered for the project. Similar maintenance works are also planned for several other schools, including Al Safa Primary Girls School, Al Nuzha Primary Girls School, Fatima Bint Asad Primary Girls School, Tubli Primary Girls School, Shaikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Primary Intermediate Boys School, Al Hidd Primary Boys School, Shahrakan Primary Girls School, and Karzakkan Primary Boys School.

For Al Safa and Al Nuzha schools, the tender closes on the 25th of October 2023, with bids requiring a BD4,000 bond valid for 180 days. For Fatima Bint Asad and Tubli Primary schools, closing date for receiving bids is 10th of September 2023, with the same BD4,000 bond requirement.

Similarly, Shaikh Mohammed and Al Hidd school tenders are due on the 13th of September 2023. For Shahrakan and Karzakkan schools, bids should be submitted before the 27th of August 2023. Contractors interested in these opportunities should adhere to the specified terms and deadlines to be considered for these significant school maintenance projects.
