Ensuring Ashura success

The Cabinet reviewed the progress made in the implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in previous meetings, by the relevant authorities to ensure the success of Ashura in line with Bahrain’s respect for all faiths and coexistence, which is distinguished by its strong social fabric.
In this regard, the Cabinet, chaired yesterday by the Deputy Prime Minister, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, at Gudaibiya Palace, took note of the meeting held between the Minister of Interior, the General Authority of Husseini Processions, and heads of Husseiniyas in the Kingdom.
It also noted the statements of the Husseiniya leaders, which reflected awareness, national responsibility, and commitment to the success of Ashura by preserving Bahrain’s united community.
The Cabinet highlighted the importance of the address given by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at the 18th consultative meeting of the leaders of the GCC & the Gulf summit with the central Asian countries C5, which was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On behalf of HM the King, Bahrain’s delegation was led by His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and National Security Advisor, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The Cabinet noted the efforts of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, to ensure the success of the summit which seeks to foster human solidarity and stabilise international relations.
On the occasion of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the Cabinet commended the Kingdom’s achievements in combating trafficking in persons, which has received international recognition, expressing its appreciation for the active role of the Ministry of Interior and all concerned authorities in this regard.
