Legislative leaders hail BCCI initiatives to help sustain economic growth

Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh praised the projects and initiatives of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) to ensure the sustainability of economic growth, and to support promising commercial sectors.

He highlighted the role played by BCCI for more than 80 years in consolidating Bahrain’s status as an economic, commercial, and investment center, at the regional and international levels.

Al Saleh congratulated BCCI Chairman Sameer Abdulla Nass on the anniversary of establishing the chamber.

The Shura chairman wished BCCI further success to support the national economy and commercial development in Bahrain. He affirmed to continue advancing the cooperation between the legislative branch and the BCCI as well as developing legislations and laws related to the commercial sector.

Congratulations

Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam also congratulated Nass on the occasion. Al Musallam praised BCCI’s role in supporting the national economy and strengthening the Kingdom’s economic position on the regional and global map.

He stressed the importance of the economic, commercial, and business communities in supporting the comprehensive development process led by HM King Hamad and followed up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Speaker referred to BCCI’s efforts and initiatives that contributed to the development of the private sector. He noted that the chamber has provided many job opportunities for Bahraini youth, and supported development projects in Bahrain that keep pace with Bahrain Vision 2030.

Al Musallam expressed the Representatives’ Council’s keenness to boost cooperation with the private sector and to upgrade the economic legislative framework to achieve common national goals. He wished the BCCI chairman and members further success in continuing work and achievement for the good and interest of Bahrain.
