Asian woman arrested at Bahrain International Airport with drugs

An Asian woman was arrested at Bahrain International Airport with five kilogrammes of narcotic substance Shabu.
The suspect has been remanded into custody pending further investigation. The arrest occurred after an alert from the Anti-Narcotics Department of the General Directorate of Investigations and Criminal Investigations.
Prosecutors opened an investigation and took the suspect for questioning. During the interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime.
The seized drugs are being tested by the Drug Control Department. Legal actions are being pursued to bring the suspect to trial on drug smuggling charges.
