Online survey targets organ donation registration rate in Bahrain

An online survey has been launched by the Bahrain Statistical Society (BSS) to measure the organ donation registration rate in the kingdom. It targets all adult respondents in Bahrain aged 18 years or older.

Organ donation is the process of surgically removing an organ or tissue from one person (the organ donor) and placing it in another person (the recipient).

Transplantation is necessary because the recipient’s organ has failed or been damaged by disease or injury. Participation by responding to the survey is very important to successfully complete this study, said the organisers.

All responses will be used for research purposes on an aggregate basis. The survey is expected to take no more than 2 minutes to complete, and respondents must answer based on their personal opinion.
