HRH Prince Salman commends Press's role in Bahrain's prosperity

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, emphasised the role played by the local press in promoting Bahrain’s growth and development.

HRH Prince Salman commended the local media’s ongoing efforts to highlight the achievements made through the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Royal Highness was speaking as he met yesterday with the newly elected Chairman of the Bahraini Journalists Association (BJA), Isa Al Shaiji, and its Board Members, at Riffa Palace.

Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Information Minister Dr Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Nuaimi also attended the meeting. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulated Al Shaiji and the BJA Board Members on winning the elections and serving a new term.

HRH Prince Salman highlighted the importance of the efforts of the local press in their efforts to objective and responsible journalism, through publishing articles that raise public awareness across a variety of issues that serves the Kingdom and its citizens.

He noted the contributions of the Kingdom’s journalists as part of Team Bahrain, through their efforts in highlighting Bahrain’s achievements and successes which reflects positively on the country.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that the efforts made by the national press and media professionals in supporting the Kingdom’s advancement is a matter of appreciation and pride.
