Industry and Commerce Ministry opens eCommerce survey

In a bid to bolster the e-commerce sector and safeguard the interests of consumers, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has launched a survey to evaluate consumer satisfaction in the field.

The survey will remain open for two weeks to receive responses, the ministry said, as it responds to the growing volume of eCommerce transactions in the Kingdom.

To participate, individuals can log on to the Ministry’s website at https://www.moic.gov.bh/en or engage through their social media accounts.

The primary goal is to gather valuable insights, enabling the ministry to implement effective policies and laws that cater to the needs of consumers.

The ministry further said it’s closely monitoring various e-commerce platforms and commercial activities to ensure consumer protection and mitigate fraud risks in the sector.

Moreover, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said it aims to establish enhanced communication channels with consumers in the e-commerce domain, encouraging them to share their complaints and observations.

By actively involving consumers in shaping e-commerce policies, the ministry stressed that it’s dedicated to fostering a robust and secure e-commerce environment within the Kingdom.
