Bahrain’s keenness to welcome investments that would positively impact the Kingdom’s economic growth was affirmed by the Industry and Commerce Minister. This move, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro said, aligns with Bahrain’s Industrial Sector Strategy (2022-2026) as part of the broader Economic Recovery Plan.
The plan’s objectives include increasing the industrial sector’s contribution to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP), promoting exports of products of national origin, and generating promising employment opportunities for citizens. The minister made the comments during a visit yesterday to Deera Land Beverages Company, where he was received by Abdulla Ahmadi, the Business Development Manager.
Fakhro highlighted that the ongoing development of local industries has led to the diversification of the food sector in line with the Bahrain Industrial Sector Strategy (2022–2026).
Expressing gratitude to investors for their trust in Bahrain’s investment climate, the minister said the Kingdom is continuing efforts to boost local investments and attract high-quality and competitive industries. He said the government remains committed to promoting local industries that serve both the domestic market and have the potential to expand to regional and global markets.
