Bahrain and Mexico celebrate the 48th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Mexican Ambassador to Bahrain (non-resident) Anbal Gomez Toledo wrote an article expressing the shared commitment to enhancing bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation.

The ambassador emphasised the constructive and respectful dialogue that has led to Bahrain and Mexico building a strong and enduring relationship. He noted the importance of the cultural and economic aspects of their bilateral engagement and the potential for further growth in these domains.

Stating that over the years, both nations have solidified their cooperation through agreements on investment, taxation, and ongoing negotiations on political consultations, reaffirming their mutual interest in strengthening ties across various sectors.

Toledo added that, despite the modest number of Mexicans residing in Bahrain – approximately 70 individuals – the Mexican community in Bahrain has been able to make significant contributions in diverse sectors, notably in gastronomy and culture.

Ambassador Toledo concluded his article by emphasising that this significant anniversary serves as a testament to the enduring bonds of friendship and the commitment to fostering peace and cooperation on the global stage.
