Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairaf has announced that Bahrain will be hosting the first edition of the “Connections Luxury” event in October in partnership with Jacobs Media Group, the parent company of leading travel and hospitality brand “Connections”.

Also Chairman of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Al Saira held a coordination meeting with the Connections Team from Jacobs Media Group, organisers of the “Connections Luxury” event, to assess the progress of the preparations and arrangements for hosting the event.

The event will invite top luxury tour operators from around the world to experience Bahrain and its tourism offerings. The three-day event will link international tour operators with Bahrain’s luxury hotels and destination management companies with an aim to develop partnerships and promote Bahrain as an international tourism destination.

The Minister affirmed that this event reflects the Ministry of Tourism’s and BTEA’s dedication to bolstering the tourism sector and raising awareness of the destinations and activities tourists can enjoy in Bahrain.

With a set itinerary for the tour operators to enjoy, the international tour operators will experience a comprehensive view of Bahrain’s tourism pillars through maritime, cultural and adventure activities.

Al Sairafi highlighted the significance of the event as a platform to showcase the advancements in Bahrain’s tourism sector to attendees from various countries around the world. It also serves as an opportunity to introduce the targeted countries for the event, including the UK, Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy, India, Egypt, and the Gulf countries, to the appealing opportunities offered by Bahrain to the tourism industry and investors.

The Minister emphasised the incentives provided by the Kingdom to promote the development of luxury tourism.
