Bahrain hails UK ties and cooperation

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighted the historic relations between the UK and Bahrain, which span over 200 years.
HRH Prince Salman noted the importance of strengthening multisector cooperation to achieve the aspirations of both kingdoms and their people.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was speaking as he received the outgoing UK Ambassador to Bahrain, HE Roderick Drummond, at Riffa Palace to mark the end of his tenure in the Kingdom.
He commended the Ambassador’s efforts in furthering bilateral relations, noting the UK’s role, alongside allied countries, in safeguarding global peace. His Royal Highness extended best wishes to Ambassador Drummond in his future endeavours.
During the meeting, regional and global developments and issues of common interest were discussed. Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa also attended the meeting.
