Jail term of man upheld
A man, convicted of conducting immoral activities, has had his jail term upheld. The man, who was serving in a local Islamic bank, was earlier given one-year jail for having sex with men.
The defendant is said to have quit his job for the sake of inviting ‘customers’ to have sex with him in return for amounts ranging between BD100 and BD200. He said his tenure in the bank lasted for six years, following which he headed towards such illegal activity.
The man said he began having sex in a GCC state, and later returned to Bahrain where he was ‘catching’ his customers through a website and smart phones app Whatsapp.
