Bahrain is keen on involving Bahraini youth in achieving sustainable development by qualifying them and providing them with opportunities to work in the plans, projects, and programmes that fall under the Government Plan (2023- 2026). This was emphasised by Sustainable Development Minister Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif.
The minister spoke as she met the fifth batch of the national leadership programme “HiPO Youth”, which is organised by the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and INJAZ Bahrain.
Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA), said that HiPO-YOUTH contributes to enabling Bahraini youth to be part of the growth of the national economy, as a driving force for achieving sustainable development.
She highlighted that BIPA is the first government institution on an international level to include the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in its programmes concerned with building administrative capacities, upgrading institutional work in Bahrain, and building a generation of government leaders capable of continuing sustainable development efforts.
Dr. Rana added that the fifth intake is in the process of preparing a set of studies based on current leadership trends and applying scientific methodology they have acquired during the programme.
