Bahrain keen to enhance UK economic cooperation

Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa affirmed the depth of the long-established historical relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, and the solid foundations of cooperation and economic integration in various fields.

He emphasised Bahrain’s keenness to enhance the level of bilateral cooperation with the UK to support the goals of the comprehensive development march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Shaikh Salman was speaking as he received Mark Cooper, Deputy Director at the British Investment Office, in the presence of Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat).

Cooper was visiting Bahrain to review economic cooperation and investment between the two countries, referring to the agreements and memorandums of understanding that were signed between them and their significant impact on enhancing the levels of cooperation and distinguished partnership.

During the meeting, they also discussed ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation between the two friendly countries and reviewed a number of issues of common interest.
