The festivities of the BRAVE Pan-American Combat Week saw the most global MMA organization in the world play a huge role in bringing joy and entertainment to the Colombian capital of Bogota, as well as empowering the Latin American MMA scene, with the biggest fight night in the region’s history.

The proceedings all led to BRAVE CF 73 on August 12, which ended with Jose Torres being crowned the new Bantamweight champion of the world, when he narrowly beat Nkosi Ndeele, from South Africa, in an instant classic.

Prior to that, however, Colombia showed their appreciation to BRAVE Combat Federation for all the work in putting the country on the combat sports map with the BRAVE Pan-American Combat Week. On behalf of Mr. Shahid, Bahrain MMA Federation president Mohammed Qamber received the keys to the town of Zipaquira in a moving ceremony at the Catedral de Sal.

Those who were present included Wilson Garcia Fajardo (the mayor of Zipaquira), William Robayo (the manager of Catedral de Sal), Jaime Baron (the president of the Colombian MMA Federation) and Fredy Espinoza (the manager of IMCRD in the town).

The first wonder of Colombia played host to this fantastic moment as the masses continued to celebrate Pan-American Combat Week and look ahead to what the future could hold for combat sports in Latin America.
