Media sector plays important role in advancing Bahrain's progress

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, affirmed the importance of advancing Bahrain’s media sector in line with its comprehensive development goals, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the media’s role in supporting development policies and programmes that benefit the Kingdom and its citizens.

The Deputy King was speaking as he met yesterday with the Minister of Information, HE Dr Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Nuaimi, at Riffa Palace.

HRH Prince Salman was briefed on the National Communication Center’s (NCC) plans and efforts to enhance the government’s communication system according to desired development aspirations.

His Royal Highness also urged NCC officials to double their efforts to keep pace with communication developments and enhance communication with local, regional, and international media outlets.

He wished Ahmed Khalid Al Araifi further success in his duties as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the NCC. Dr Al Nuaimi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and for HRH’s support in government communication programmes.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, also attended the meeting.
