Upon accepting the title, she addressed a prevailing misconception, stating, ‘The biggest misconception about Bahrain and the Middle East is that it’s a place of oppression, where women don’t have rights. This is far from the truth.
"Women are taught to thrive, embrace their strengths, and pursue their ambitions. They are the true pearls of the country. My first goal as Miss Universe is to dispel this misconception," she added.
At 19 years old, Lujane Yacoub, a former Miss Universe Bahrain contestant, boasts a diverse portfolio as an actress, dancer, model, and passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and education.
Her future plans include pursuing her passion by studying the creative arts in London.
Advaita Shetty, 28, a clinical audiology student with a bachelor’s degree in animal welfare and environmental health, secured the first runner-up position.
Tuhina Carrol, 28, a flight attendant with a steadfast belief in dreaming big and embracing fearlessness, earned the title of second runner-up.
The contestants were evaluated on criteria that encompassed beauty, poise, intelligence, and personality.
