Bahrain takes part in UN anti-cybercrimes meeting

Director of Anti-Cybercrimes of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security Colonel Ahmed Saad Al Rumaihi chaired the Kingdom of Bahrain delegation participating in the UN experts 6th meeting to combat using information and communications technology for criminal purposes.
The meeting was held in New York, US. Anti-Cybercrimes Director reviewed the views of the Interior Ministry regarding the unified negotiating document on an international agreement to combat the use of information and communications technology for criminal purposes, including the introduction of technical and security proposals prepared by the Anti-Cybercrimes Directorate, related to general provisions and provisions related to criminalisation, procedural measures, law enforcement, information exchange and international cooperation in combating cybercrime.
The fifth consultation report on the committee’s work was reviewed, in addition to considering and negotiating the international agreement document.
