Tamkeen awarded for supporting entrepreneurial ecosystem development

Tamkeen was honoured by "Entrepreneur ME", a leading regional entrepreneurship magazine, with the Enterprise Agility Award in the category of "Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Development". 


The award recognises Tamkeen’s efforts for the creation of a supportive environment for businesses in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Organised by Entrepreneur ME, the 2015 Enterprise Agility Awards, aim to recognise and honour enterprise leaders and individuals who have distinguished themselves, and demonstrated innovation and outstanding business conduct in local and regional economies.

The Awards seek to acknowledge agility across 20 industries including retail, healthcare, construction, hospitality, aviation, education, banking, and energy, amongst other key drivers of the Middle East’s economy, in addition to shedding light on best practices related to entrepreneurship in the region.

H.E Shaikh Mohammed Bin Essa Al Khalifa, Chairman and Acting Chief Executive of Tamkeen, commented on the announcement: "The success of Tamkeen is based on the success achieved by the businesses and individuals that its support. Winning this prestigious regional award is one of the proofs that recognises the Kingdom’s efforts in supporting and encouraging entrepreneurship. The creation of an ecosystem that allows businesses to flourish and develop is extremely important for the health of any modern economy. It requires continuous efforts from both the private and public sectors in order to ensure that businesses can achieve their goals and objectives, a goal which the Kingdom was working tirelessly on achieving during the past decade".

The Enterprise Agility Achievers chosen for the awards have established themselves as clear industry innovators who have made significant contributions to the Middle East business arena, and set the benchmark for corporations operating in the Middle East.
