Bahrain wins second place in Holy Quran international contest

Bahrain won second place in the King Abdulaziz International Holy Quran Contest for Memorisation, Recitation and Interpretation in its 43rd session, which was recently organised in Saudi Arabia under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Mohammed Adnan Al Omari, who represented Bahrain among 117 other countries, won second place in memorising the entire Holy Quran with interpretation. Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Ma’awda, praised this new Bahraini achievement under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The announcement came during the closing ceremony of the King Abdulaziz International Holy Quran Contest, which was held on Wednesday evening in the Grand Mosque, during which His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, honoured the winners of the competition.
