GCC award for exceptional medical contributions

Dr. Maryam Al Hajri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Health, was honoured by the GCC Health Council for her exceptional contributions and dedication during her tenure as a member of the executive body, the supervisory board, and founder of the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
Through her initiatives, programs, and collaborative research, she has significantly advanced the work in GCC countries. Dr. Al Hajri expressed her gratitude to the Director-General and the Executive Board of the Health Council for this honor.
She emphasised the importance of cooperation and coordination among GCC countries in preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health, as well as the need for joint research and investment in combating chronic non-communicable diseases.
The Assistant Undersecretary also highlighted the significance of developing strategies and plans to prevent and control diseases through collaboration with the Gulf Center.
