The Southern Municipality has taken action against abandoned cars being sold on public roads in the Al Hajiyat and Al Buhair regions.
The municipality identified 105 abandoned vehicles and urged their owners to remove them. 20 out of 65 were removed, while the remaining owners removed them to avoid legal consequences.
The municipality also removed 10 out of 40 cars offered for sale.
They are committed to enforcing regulations and controlling violations through inspection tours, ensuring public cleanliness and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of residential neighborhoods.
They are activating the provisions of the Public Cleanliness Law to address issues related to abandoned cars and vehicles, which often obstruct pedestrian movement and distort the urban character of residential areas.
