The “Women in Financial Technology” Committee, led by Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, reviewed their past accomplishments and established their future work priorities during a recent working meeting held at the Supreme Council for Women’s headquarters.
The committee’s primary focus is to achieve a gender balance in the financial technology sector, enhancing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s competitiveness on the global economic map and ensuring the sustained participation of Bahraini women in this field.
During the meeting, several proposals were discussed, including the ongoing development of girls’ participation in technical and vocational education in collaboration with relevant authorities.
Additionally, the committee plans to raise awareness about financing solutions to support financial technology projects and highlight the contributions of women in this sector by promoting success stories.
Moreover, the committee aims to create a comprehensive database that includes detailed indicators of gender balance in the financial technology sector. The committee also reviewed various programs and events implemented by private sector institutions in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Women.
These initiatives aim to support women’s participation in the financial technology field and provide opportunities for Bahraini women to benefit from business incubators, ac[1]celerators, and other programs within the industry.
