Bahrain's banking, financial sectors enhance economic growth

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirmed the role of banking and financial institutions in enhancing the contributions of various priority economic sectors and creating quality opportunities for Bahraini citizens.

HRH Prince Salman noted the importance of enhancing the financial services sector and increasing its efficiency as one of the Kingdom’s priority sectors, implementing strategies to further its competitiveness and innovation, and employing modern technologies, to achieve the Kingdom’s wide-ranging goals and aspirations.

His Royal Highness made the statements as he met yesterday with the Executive Chairman of Investcorp, Mohammed bin Mahfoodh Alardhi, at Gudaibiya Palace.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Ministers highlighted the importance of diversifying Bahrain’s economy and supporting its priority sectors in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He noted the importance of implementing initiatives that foster a competitive, fair, and sustainable investment environment, on par with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

Mr Alardhi extended his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, noting HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s commitment to developing the banking and financial sector and enhancing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s investment environment. The Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
