NMS World Scholar’s Cup Team advance to Yale round

New Millennium School celebrates the exceptional achievements of the WSC team that headed to South Korea to compete with more than 1,500 scholars from 26 countries at the WSC Global Round-A week-long celebration of learning at the COEX Atrium Auditorium in Seoul.
This prestigious international event witnessed uplifting proud moments when all the teams consisting of 27 students advanced to the Tournament of Champions to be scheduled at Yale University, USA.
The scholar delegation from NMS brought home laurels by winning trophies, 68 gold, and 67 silver medals with two teams consisting of six students from the Senior Category among the Top Ten. Both the senior and junior division students exhibited their brilliance and versatility across the various disciplines of the World Scholar’s Cup, with their incredible and outstanding accomplishment in the Scholar Challenge, Scholar Bowl, Collaborative Writing, and Debate.
The students showcased their talent at the scholar’s fair by putting up a stall representing the rich cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain. They gifted souvenirs and offered dates, traditional sweets etc.to the scholars of other countries.
Mr Arun Kuumar Sharma, Principal NMS, congratulated the participants for their sincere efforts and said, “’The exceptional accomplishments of NMS Scholars at the World Scholar’s Cup 2023 Seoul Global Round stand as a testament to their unwavering commitment to knowledge, critical thinking, and team work.’’
He also appreciated the parents and faculty members for having nurtured the talents of the students and motivating them to scale new heights. The Chairman, Dr Ravi Pillai, and the Managing Director, Geetha Pillai, extended their heartfelt best wishes and felicitations to all the participating students.
