The plans and programs related to daily cleaning operations are keeping pace with the urban development movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

With the entry of new urban and industrial areas, the authorities are ensuring the provision of additional cleaning services, especially in populated areas, to ensure the smooth flow of daily life while adhering to the highest safety standards.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, represented by the Municipality of the Capital and the municipalities of Muharraq, Northern, and Southern, has implemented integrated strategies for waste management to include these new areas in their daily plans and programs.

This approach ensures the continuity and effectiveness of cleaning work throughout the entire urban area in Bahrain, including the new areas. More than 3,000 people, including cleaners, drivers, inspectors, and officials, work around the clock in the governorates of Muharraq, the Capital, the North, and the South, supported by a fleet of 260 vehicles equipped with various cleaning mechanisms.

To ensure the highest performance, a new monitoring system has been implemented to track violations and request necessary actions from the cleaning companies.

Additionally, automated systems monitor all vehicles and mechanisms via GPS systems to measure their work volume, working hours, and overall performance.

To enhance performance and track violations, a state-of-the-art monitoring system has been implemented. Automated GPS systems meticulously monitor vehicles and mechanisms, measuring their work volume and overall performance.

In addition to these efforts, the municipalities have recognised the importance of community engagement in upholding cleanliness standards. They have taken the initiative to educate citizens and residents through social networking sites, raising awareness about hygiene laws and cleaning practices.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture continues to organise awareness campaigns, utilizing every opportunity to educate the public on public behavior, regulations, and laws related to cleanliness.

One such campaign, the “Sawaed” campaign, has recently been launched, targeting the maintenance of public cleanliness and fostering community partnerships.

Furthermore, the municipalities have introduced several services aimed at public hygiene. The “Call for Your Furniture” initiative provides a free service for specific categories of citizens, including the elderly, people with disabilities, divorcees, and widows.

This initiative allows them to dispose of used furniture safely, preventing it from being discarded near containers. To benefit from this service, citizens can dial the dedicated hotline number 80070000.

With these proactive measures and initiatives, Bahrain is determined to ensure public cleanliness, preserve its sustainability, and achieve the desired goals.

The Kingdom is committed to providing top-notch public cleaning services that meet the expectations of its citizens and residents. Stay tuned for more updates on Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to maintain a clean and sustainable environment.
