The Northern Municipal Council Chairman, Dr. Sayed Shubar Ibrahim Al Wadaei, has announced efforts to address traffic problems plaguing the village of Karranah in Bahrain.

These efforts are part of a broader focus on meeting the demands of the community, promoting its development, and improving the living conditions of residents on Street 61 in Block 460, Karranah village.

Dr. Al Wadaei emphasised the support received from the government and the Ministry of Works, particularly Minister Engineer Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj and Undersecretary Engineer Shaikh Mishal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, in finding practical solutions to the residents’ concerns.

To mitigate the adverse effects of heavy traffic and poor road conditions, the council has prioritised the paving of Street 61 with treated asphalt. Additionally, speed-reducing measures have been implemented to discourage reckless driving.

These initial steps are aimed at addressing the problem at hand. Furthermore, the council is working with relevant institutions to introduce regulatory decisions that will regulate the movement of water transport tanks, heavy equipment transport shipments, and marine boat trucks.

These vehicles have been identified as major contributors to the instability and discomfort experienced by residents. Dr. Al Wadaei called on the relevant institutions to address the root causes of the problem and collaborate in finding effective solutions.

He urged them to support the council’s efforts by implementing necessary legal and administrative measures. By doing so, the council aims to ensure the safety and security of the population and provide the community with the services it needs.

The chairman’s dedication to resolving the traffic issues in Karranah village showcases the council’s commitment to the well-being and development of its residents. Through collaborative efforts and practical solutions, the council aims to improve the quality of life for those living in the village.
