Focus on ways to enhance Bahraini-UK economic ties

Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa emphasised the significance of Bahrain’s longstanding and strategic alliance with the United Kingdom built upon extensive collaboration and coordination across various fields.

Shaikh Salman highlighted the importance of leveraging the positive outcomes of this bilateral relationship, which would not only serve the shared interests of both countries but also contribute to the comprehensive development initiatives led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Shaikh Salman spoke during a meeting with Lord Dominic Johnson of Lainston, the Minister of State for Investment of the UK, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mumtalakat, Mark Cooper, the Deputy Director at the UK Office for Investment.

The two parties discussed the ongoing development of Bahraini-UK ties, particularly in the financial and economic sectors. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted the importance of the memoranda of understanding between the two countries and their active role in boosting integration and economic and investment partnership.
