Solid Bahrain-Saudi historical ties and strategic partnership

Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani expressed his appreciation for the strong historical fraternal ties and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He highlighted the progress and development witnessed by both countries under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Dr. Al Zayani emphasised the pride of Bahrain in celebrating the 93rd National Day of Saudi Arabia, acknowledging the close historical relations between the two nations. He commended the Saudi policy as a strategic depth to the Arab and Islamic world, highlighting its role in promoting regional and global security, peace, and prosperity.

The Minister also praised the initiatives of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, co-chaired by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He emphasised the commitment of both governments to strengthen political, security, economic, cultural, media, tourism, social, investment, and environmental coordination. Dr. Al Zayani reiterated Bahrain’s firm support for Saudi Arabia and its efforts to maintain regional security and stability.

He expressed Bahrain’s willingness to settle regional and international disputes through peaceful means and support for the Palestinian cause and the Yemeni crisis. He further emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing solidarity and stability within the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The minister extended his support for Saudi diplomatic and development initiatives at the regional and international levels, wishing for continued security, progress, and prosperity for the Kingdom and its people.
