Bahrain takes part in Nepal National Day celebration

Nepalese in Bahrain commemorated Nepal National Day with a traditional reception function at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa in Manama yesterday.
The event was graced by H.E. Tirtha Raj Wagle, Nepal Ambassador to Bahrain, and special guests of the evening were Social Development Minister Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor and Consular & Administrative Affairs Undersecretary Dr. Mohamed Ali Bahzad.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Wagle said that Nepal celebrates its National Day on the 20th of September, marking the historic occasion of the full release of the Constitution of Nepal by the Constituent Assembly in 2015.
He conveyed the greetings gratitude and best wishes from Nepal’s Ram Chandra Poudel to the gathering. Ambassador Wagle spoke about the progress that Nepal has made under its new Constitution, highlighting the country’s commitment to structural reform of the economy and reforms in governance and service delivery.
He also emphasised Nepal’s rich cultural diversity and its potential for tourism, religious, and investment opportunities. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Bahraini authorities and employers for extending care, empathy, and job opportunities to Nepalese workers in the Kingdom.
Nepal and Bahrain have enjoyed friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1977. The two countries have close cooperation in various fields, including business, tourism, investment, and employment. The presence of a large Nepalese community in Bahrain plays an important role in strengthening these ties.
