Bahraini engineer wins global award

In a historic achievement for Bahrain, Aisha Al Haram, a distinguished engineer at the National Space Science Authority (NASA), has won the “20 Young Leaders Under the Age of 35” award by the International Association of Experts and Professionals in the Field of Space and Satellites.
Al Haram is the first Bahraini woman to receive this prestigious award and the only Arab woman among the winners in the 2023 edition.
Her victory highlights the excellence of Bahraini youth in space and satellite development, recognising her academic and practical excellence in designing and building satellites. Her contributions to the sector’s development locally and globally have been acknowledged.
