New Horizon School honours Prophet Mohammed’s life and teachings

On the occasion of the Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birthday, also known as ‘Mawlid al-Nabi’, New Horizon School organised a series of activities at both Zinj and Segayya campuses yesterday to honour his life and teachings.
Students participated enthusiastically by sharing their thoughts and reflecting themselves in white and green shades of attire. The entire school community came together to pay tribute to the Prophet, with students and teachers alike participating in a range of activities that reflected the significance of this special day.
The school was adorned with a vibrant array of colourful banners and posters. The day began, with a special assembly, where the students recited verses from the Holy Quran and sang hymns in praise of the Prophet.
The school Chairman, Mr. Joy Mathews, shared his valuable insights on Prophet’s pro-found wisdom and teachings. The Principal, Mrs. Vandana Sateesh, reflected deeply on the importance of compassion as taught by Prophet Mohammed.
The programme was followed by the enchanting rendition of the students in the essence of a beautiful skit and song, based on the Prophet’s love and ethics.
The programme was coordinated by the Islamic and National Activities Committee headed by the School Counsellor, Mrs. Fatema Zaid. The celebration of Prophet Mohammed’s birthday at school was truly, a memorable occasion leaving everyone feeling uplifted and spirited.
