Focus on peaceful use of nuclear technology

Ambassador Dr. Yousef Abdulkarim Bucheery, Director General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held discussions with several International Atomic Energy Agency officials in Vienna, Austria to strengthen bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the IAEA in the peaceful use of nuclear technology.
Ambassador Bucheery seized the opportunity to congratulate Mr. Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, on his re-election. He emphasised the importance of enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and the Agency and praised the previous achievements of the organisation in promoting international cooperation for peace and development.
The meeting also explored future cooperation opportunities, particularly in projects related to cancer treatment and environmental pollution. The Ambassador and his delegation actively participated in the conference and voting sessions on draft resolutions, demonstrating Bahrain’s commitment to global nuclear cooperation.
