International efforts continue to focus on security and stability, which in turn support development in line with the aspirations of countries and their people.

This was emphasised by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, as he received yesterday the Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command, Commander of the United States Fifth Fleet, and Commander of Combined Maritime Forces, Vice Admiral Charles B.

Cooper II, and the Ambassador of the US to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Steven C. Bondy, at Gudaibiya Palace. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the longstanding partnership between Bahrain and the US, particularly within military and defence.

HRH Prince Salman welcomed Vice Admiral Cooper and HE the Ambassador, noting the advancement of bilateral relations and development achieved through various levels of cooperation.

The Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) was also discussed, which forms a cornerstone for joint Bahrain-US cooperation across various sectors, notably security, military, advanced technology, trade, and investment, in support of regional security and development.

His Royal Highness, Vice Admiral Cooper, and HE Bondy, further discussed joint efforts within the next phase of the Bahrain-US partnership, building on the C-SIPA. The agreement aims to bolster Bahrain-US joint efforts and shared values and visions towards a greater integration, particularly within security, the military field, and in achieving security, prosperity, and economic development.

Several issues of common interest and the latest international and regional developments were reviewed. The Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, also attended the meeting.
