Leadership congratulated on KHK MMA achievement

The Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts (HKH MMA) Team has won the first ever bronze medallion in the history of the sport in the world for amateurs, which has placed Bahrain on the world map of this world-class sport.

His Highness dedicated the bronze medal to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa the Prime Supporter of Youth and Sports in the Kingdom hailing His Majesty's reform and development in all sectors, especially in the sector of youths and sports.

Also, His Highness dedicated the spectacular achievement to HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, affirming that this feat reflects the plans and programmes set up by the government. He also lauded the Supreme Council of Youth and Sport (SCYS)'s efforts led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad al Khalifa in boosting the level of Bahraini youths and advancement of all sports.

Represented by Bahraini MMA fighter Hussain Ayyad, the team won third position during his participation in the first European MMA Amateurs Open Championship.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports was keen to attend and follow up the MMA fray and ensured full preparedness of MMA fighter Hussain Ayyad and boosted his morale and psychological posture. His Highness entered the playground during break interval and gave invaluable instructions to Hussain Ayyad encouraging him to give his best performance.

His Highness said this accomplishment is the fruition of the support and directives of the Kingdom's Principal Sportsman, His Majesty the King.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs cum Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youths and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee on this accomplishment.
