His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa emphasised the importance of preserving Bahrain’s gains and standing united against anything that threatens unity and stability.

“It is important that our Bahraini society, which is known for its civilised awareness and independent decisions, continues to preserve its gains and to stand united against everything that undermines its unity and stability, with sincere faith and the values of human coexistence,” HM the King said.

HM King Hamad expressed gratitude to the founders of the modern state and reiterated pride in the achievements of the legislative institution. The cooperation between the executive and legislative branches was also commended for its focus on the country’s interests and citizens’ welfare.

This collaboration ensures the highest levels of cooperation and is seen as fruitful and constructive. His Majesty highlighted the country’s commitment to reform and modernisation, driven by the national will and without external influence.

He acknowledged Bahrain’s open society, known for its civilised awareness and independent decisions. The speech emphasised the significance of human coexistence and sincere faith in maintaining unity and stability.

Despite facing challenges, HM the King expressed confidence in the resilience of the Bahraini people and the continued stability of constitutional institutions, particularly the independent judiciary.

The judiciary plays a crucial role in upholding justice, continuing reforms, and advancing human rights. HM King Hamad recognised the shared responsibility of building a prosperous nation and paid tribute to the founders of the modern state who faithfully fulfilled their national duties. He expressed gratitude for their contributions and vowed to honour their memory.

“This is an occasion to reiterate our pride in what has been achieved by the legislative institution. We have been keen from the outset that its development emanates from the popular will. This proudly unique model will remain independent with your will and enriched with your contributions. We have a lot ahead of us to accomplish with you,” His Majesty noted.

He commended the performance of the National Assembly and praised the executive branch for its noteworthy efforts in maintaining cooperation with the legislative branch. This cooperative relationship ensures that the country’s interests and the welfare of its citizens remain a top priority.

The speech ended on a positive note, highlighting the collective achievements of Bahrain and the determination to overcome future challenges.

“We also must note the sincere endeavours of the Government, led and guided by our Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to achieve national aspirations through a collaborative approach, to maintain Bahrain’s leading position in development, and to maintain its status as a platform for intellectual and civilisational rapprochement among religions and cultures, and as a destination characterised by its heritage and venerable character of its cities and areas,” HM King Hamad said.
