A state-of-the-art radiology unit was inaugurated yesterday at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) in a significant milestone for healthcare services in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Equipped with cutting-edge medical technologies like mammography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), this facility promises to revolutionise diagnostic imaging.

Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH), graced the inauguration ceremony, underscoring the importance of this development.

The unit’s launch, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, serves as a poignant reminder of the ongoing fight against this devastating disease. With specialised radiology services now readily available, patients can expect enhanced diagnosis and treatment opportunities.
