BTEA receives delegation of US Congress staffers

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) CEO, Dr. Nasser Qaedi welcomed a delegation comprising of US Congress staffers.
He provided a comprehensive overview of the pivotal role played by the tourism sector in executing the economic recovery plan initiated by the government in October 2021.
He highlighted the sector's significance as one of the plan's most promising aspects and elaborated on the details of Bahrain's tourism strategy for the years 2022-2026.
This strategy is geared towards doubling the tourism sector's contribution to the GDP, diversifying the tourism offerings, and attracting a larger influx of tourists from diverse nationalities and countries across the globe.
Dr. Qaedi emphasized the accomplishments of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority. He highlighted the various initiatives and tourism programs aimed at enhancing the performance of the tourism sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Furthermore, he provided the delegation with the most recent information, statistics, and developments related to the tourism sector, including details about tourist destinations, the richness and diversity of the tourism offerings, as well as the events, festivals, and entertainment activities organized by the Authority throughout the year.
He also discussed the special offers extended to tourists and the ongoing efforts to promote the Bahraini tourism sector.
Dr. Qaedi underscored the commitment of the Ministry of Tourism and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority to bolster international initiatives driving global tourism industry development.
He emphasized the importance of fostering connections with diverse nations and organizations operating within the tourism sector to support the recovery of the industry, strengthen collaborative efforts in regional and global tourism, share expertise, and actively engage in tourism events, meetings, and forums.
During the meeting, the CEO of BTEA highlighted key commercial and investment tourism projects underway and planned across various governorates in the Kingdom.
He discussed ongoing efforts to enhance tourism infrastructure and expand the number of hotels, hospitality venues, and dining establishments.
These initiatives are aimed at accommodating the rising demand for tourism facilities, catering to the diverse needs and preferences of tourists from different countries, and providing them with unparalleled tourism experiences.
